In the ongoing "Crayon" series, drawing possibilities are narrowed to black crayon marks and smoky surfaces of grey. Lines, light and tones create tension. The softness from a rubbing crayon – like an air current – responds to the scribble of a lithographic crayon. Will the viewer see where drawing decisions were made? How much hand pressure was at play? Why a ghost mark has been left on the limestone?
