The "Crayon" series is an ongoing work where drawing possibilities are narrowed to black crayon marks and smoky surfaces of grey. Tension is created between lines, light and tones. The softness from a rubbing crayon – like air current – responds to the scribble of a lithographic crayon. Will the viewer see where drawing decisions where made? How much speed or hand pressure was at play? Why a ghost mark has been left on the limestone?
